A Bedtime Ghost Story

Don't y'all just love campfires in autumn? The crisp fall air, the moonlight and stars overhead, the crackling fire........and best of all......bwahahahaha......the GHOST STORIES.

So, my little sjoggies, get yourself settled around our fire. Everyone wearing your hoodie sweatshirts and sneakers? Have weinie dogs on a stick? Or even better, marshmallows toasting? And a big bottle of water to wash down all those sticky goodies? All righty, then.

What's that? Time for a ghost story? Well, now. Here's a goodie, and it's true. Cross my heart.

Here goes:

John and Julia and Greg and Terese traveled alllllllll the way to Paulding, Michigan. They had heard stories about a mysterious ghost light that could be seen every night at dusk.

JJG and T had been told that the light is the lantern of a brakeman who was killed many years ago while attempting to stop an oncoming train from colliding with railway cars stopped on the tracks. Ooooooo.

A GHOST! A RAILROAD GHOST!

Here's my picture of the Paulding light:

Here's someone else's video of the GHOST LIGHT.

SPOOKY. Now everyone head back to their campsites and get a good night's sleep. What's that? You're afraid of nightmares about the GHOST LIGHT?

Pshaw. Sjoggies don't believe in ghosts.

You can read more about the scary Paulding light here. Now get to bed -- and no more giggling or reading by flashlight -- or I'll have to come over there.

What's that? You say you can't sleep because you're so frightened? Really?

Sigh. OK. Watch this.

NOW GO TO BED.
