This Thing is Bigger Than I am

As we headed out for our road trip, I told John, "This time I'm not going to take the same kind of pictures that I ALWAYS do."

He just looked at my quizzically.

"You know. Nature. Rocks. Mountains. Trees. I looked through my photo files from last year and they're all kind of looking the same. This time, I'm going to get pictures of other, unique stuff."

John just smiled and kept his eyes on the road.

I slapped the telephoto lens on my Canon and started snapping away. Yesterday I downloaded the zillion of pictures and had to laugh because OF COURSE all of my pics were of gorgeous scenery.

Well, except for this pic of the fabulous flashing flamingo that Terese gave me as a "going on a trip" present.

I'm weak when I look at the mountains. It's beyond my control. I simply must take pictures. And how can I resist when my subject matter looks like this?

I love your pictures. I am so jealous, southwestern Ontario is so flat.
