Who Knew?

Like the big '80s hair? While going through some pictures, I unearthed this one from about 1986 or so.

Yes. This does indeed prove that I am older than dirt.

There's something very cool about this photo, though. When it was taken, I didn't realize then that at the same time, another woman was rocking her two little girls - same ages as mine - two thousand miles away. In another ten years, we would all be wreaking havoc in the Pacific Northwest together.

We even had the same stylin' perm. Yikes.

Just goes to show that you never know what the future has in store for you. A pain-in-the-butt autoimmune disease, yes. But also good friends and good times.

Julia, this is an absolutely adorable picture of you and your children. I like the hairdo, as I probably had a similar syle as yours at about that time. Thank God we did not know what the future would bring...it would have been utterly depressing. Thanks again for such interesting information you bring to your blog. I must say, I am envious of your being able to go out to restaurants to eat,(and drink!) as I have so many intolerances I am restricted to eating at home as it is too much hassle to eat out. Do you think you could do a post on food,
and intolerances etc.? It would interest me as I have been having a difficult time getting any sort of information online, and even through a dietician I had seen recently. No one knows anything about Sjogren's!!!

Aw..thanks, Annie.

Thanks also for the post suggestion regarding food intolerances and dining out at restaurants. Good idea.
