Perspective

Over the past week, I have had the privilege to witness an exceptional example of love and respect for a woman approaching the end of her days on Earth.

Her children, now adults, have lovingly assumed the responsibility for her care in her last hours. She rests comfortably in her own home, surrounded by family, friends and the music that she loves.

I consider myself fortunate to be allowed to be present in this most sacred time.

Her family reminisces, cries, laughs, and prays.

I know that there are many lessons to be learned at her bedside.
