Buh-Bye Box

More often than not, I can remember that Sun comes before Mon. Well, some of the time.

I was filling my pill box the other day, and mentally noted that the morning pills were far more colorful than the evening pills. I idly wondered what kind of pill I could put in the P.M. box to liven up the color scheme.....then slapped myself upside the head.

Oh, brother. MORE pills -- even if in pretty colors -- are the last thing that this old body of mine needs. I remember when I used to freak out over the fact that I was taking any daily medication at all. How times have changed.

So y'all can see that this old plastic container of mine has seen better days, yessirree. Ah, the places that this thing has gone, and my what a variety of pills it has dispensed. But I think it may be time to send this beauty to the pharmacy in the sky, since it's developed a very problematic habit of popping open at the most inopportune times. Thank goodness Maggie and Lulu aren't the kind of doggies that gobble up anything that hits the floor.

So. I'm shopping around for a new pill box, and I think it's just pathetic that A) -- I've actually worn out this thing; and B) -- I am actually finding this quest entertaining.

What can I say? I have no life.

I've actually done a search on Amazon for pill dispensers, and my goodness. There's all kinds of interesting ones out there. This one is sitting in my market basket on the site while I ponder the merits of this and other fancy schmancy models.

This snazzy one was found here. I like it's sleek design. But then, you know me. It's all about the fashion statement. Always.

Hm. I believe the lavender estrogen tables would accent the marine shades nicely, but do you think my bright yellow blood pressure pills could potentially clash with the smoky blue exterior?

How do y'all organize your medications? And are they color-coordinated?

Oh Julia, unfortunately I can so relate. My med box looks much like yours and the Sat pm flap broke off last week. I used to have this delusion that all these meds were just temporary, but I'm realizing I'm stuck with them, so I'm looking for a new box too. I'd rather be shopping for pretty shoes.

Although I take a number of pills daily, I haven't graduated to the pill box yet, but I fear it's coming. I sometimes can't remember if I've taken a certain pill, so I must count them all out to make sure I don't double dose myself. Yep,pill box is next on my shopping list.

I remember moving to the pill organizer---it was a tough day. Now, I have an amazing system, that I love, because each day can pop out to go with me in my pocket! I fill two weeks at a time, and have 3 times, B, L, and D. I organize them alphabetically by color, so there's no way to screw it up---Blue for morning, Green for midday, Orange for night.

I can't find a link---but they are these half circles that pop out of the tray--they hold a ton of pills, and are easy to manage. Good luck in your search!

I am a Sjögren's patient who takes many medications. I was using a twice daily organizer, but now I have began taking more meds and needed something larger. I was happy to find this one. I really like the idea of being able to take the days pills along with me if I am going to be away from home.
