What's On Your Bedside Table?

Ah, geez. I did it again.

I keep water close by at all times, including nighttime. So my cluttered bedside table usually has a glass of water jammed in amongst the books, alarm clock, lamp, glasses, and dust. You can see where this is going, I'll bet. Yes, when I reach for the water glass during the night, it's a disaster in the making.

Splat. Splash. Mess.

I've got to come up with something better here. Someone suggested an adult version of a sippy cup - brilliant! But that would mean I would have to de-clutter my bedside table. I suppoooossssseee I could do that.

What do you have on your bedside table?

Actually...I do use a sippy cup! On our honeymoon (yes, adding to the bizarreness) in Baltimore, I saw the CUTEST sippy cup with little smiling crabs all over it, complete with super twisty bright pink/red straw and HAD HAD HAD to have it. It is PERFECT for a Sjogie's nightstand!

Mine also houses tissues, alarm clock, cell phone, glasses, ring holder, cup of coins, remote, lamp, and every piece of paper no one knows what to do with. Oh and books surround the base along with the power strip...yeah I've ruined more than a few over the years:)

Sorry to be such a pest,Julia, but you are a sjogren's expert and I value your opinion. I was wondering if you or any of your readers experience problems with food, in the sense that eating sugar or salt burns your tongue and stomach.I've been trying to find out if I have more food intolerances or it's due to the reaction of certain foods on my tongue that changes the way I taste the food. Foods with acidity (i.e. citrus, tomatoes etc.) also cause the same problems, including swollen glands. My reumatologist says maybe, but doesn't explain further, and the dietician did not seem to have much information on what foods to eat/avoid in sjogren's. Thank you.

Hi !

I have a bottle just like those you put in the pic, but I have a Hello Kitty one. I like those in the pic, where did you find them ?
I also have eyes drop, books, lip balm, handwarmer, and usually a cat too...I'm not kidding, one of the cat loves to look at me from it, maybe she was a clock in a earlier life ?

Annie : I have some stomach problem, and some foods become difficult to eat, like fruit (too acide I think). And maybe if you take cortizone it affect your taste (when I take some everything taste like salt).
Contact me if you wish discuss it, no problem.
